Before At Last Sportswear became a leading manufacturer and importer of quality apparel, collaborating with celebrated retailers in the USA and beyond, our story began with passion, hard work and family.

1974 - The Beginning

To understand our obsession with creating innovative apparel, you must first understand our journey. The foundation of our philosophy was laid when Mrs. Sarla Ahuja, a determined young girl with sewing skills passed down from her mother, began her career as a factory worker and later founded a manufacturing and exporting company, Shahi Exports.

Diversity Empowering Innovation

Mrs. Ahuja built a culture of equality, employing women and training them in top-quality manufacturing techniques, which became the hallmark of Shahi's expansion abroad. Shahi became the first company to pilot Gap Inc.'s Personal Advancement and Career Enhancement (PACE) program, which focuses on life skills. What began with just 10 female employees has evolved into a remarkable achievement. Today, 86,000 women are a part of Shahi's 115,000-strong workforce, representing over 70% of the total. This impressive growth underscores a dedication to creating opportunities and fostering an inclusive environment where women can thrive.

Responsible Manufacturing

Shahi is Committed to environmental stewardship and social responsibility, and has integrated a range of innovative approaches to minimize its ecological footprint and enhance the well-being of its workforce. At the core of it’s sustainability efforts is a focus on eco-friendly manufacturing processes. The company employs advanced technologies to reduce water and energy consumption, and it has invested in high tech wastewater treatment facilities to ensure that its operations create minimal environmental impact.

Inspired by their mother’s inspirational business pursuits, Harish and Sunil Ahuja, joined Shahi Exports and immediately became immersed in the business of apparel manufacturing and business development. Shahi Exports expanded its facilities and operations globally, into over 100 factories across India, with dedicated weaving and processing mills. It’s clientele includes Zara, Kohl’s, H&M, Target, Gap Inc., Walmart, and many other renowned brands. As these global partnerships grew, Sunil recognized an opportunity to leverage the company's manufacturing expertise and international footprint. Inspired by emerging trends and consumer demand for high-quality apparel, he founded At Last Sportswear.

1980 - The Next Generation Joins

2013 - Establishment Of Subsidiary Brands

Building upon decades of experience in the manufacturing and exporting business. At Last quickly became a key partner to leading retailers in the USA and abroad, providing innovative apparel solutions, textile development, and distribution. After a successful start as a supplier to apparel brands and retailers, it launched its own brand, Beachlunchlounge. The contemporary bohemian inspired collection was a hit with retailers and cemented At Last’s position as providers of trend-right, quality merchandise for women with a casual yet refined lifestyle. With its owned brands, including the better contemporary brand Trove, and exclusive private label partnerships, it expanded to include a premium showroom and design center in New York City and a private distribution and logistics center in New Jersey, with more expansions planned.
